A story that began with a simple question, what do you get if you combine Shrek with Bloodsport? The answer, A Fistful of Fairytales.

In the mystical land of Fableterra, exiled prince Nycholas Neceham once had it all, royal status, a bright future, and a kingdom that was supposed to be his. But then his Uncle murdered his Father and took over. After his attempted coup failed, Nycholas was cast out, banished. After years of living in squalor he sees a chance to regain both his honor, and his birthright.

The Rumpus in the Republic. A brutal, once-in-a-decade fighting tournament. The Prize? A small fortune in cold hard cash, and an artifact called "The Heart's Desire."

Armed with Snarkblade, a sarcastic enchanted sword with a bad attitude, and partnered with Temperance Bischoptree, an “experimentalist” alchemist whose potions are as unpredictable as her judgment, Nycholas enters the arena where he will battle Fableterra’s strangest and deadliest competitors.

As Nycholas battles against Fableterra's deadliest fighters such as The Three Blind Mine, Hansel and Gretel, and Rapunzel, alliances are forged, secrets are revealed, and a climactic showdown looms.
